Heya guys, I did a search on Spain but nothing came up.

So I'm looking for shops, cafes, restaurants, tapas bars to check out when I go to madrid and barcelona in november.

Tips on what to do, accomodation, must-sees and dos and anything spain-related will also be appreciated!

Barcelona sucks for clothing shopping which is kind of weird for a city with awesome architecture and industrial design. I went to a few places on the SUFU maps, Luxe and Wallpaper guides, they just downright blow. Their select shops carry crap like Wesc and Superdry, I mean seriously Superdry?

2 weeks to go!

i'll definitely be making a trip to las rozas village and la rocas village just out of madrid and barcelona respectively.

will try to eat churros as often as possible.

a madrid you could eat at EL TIGRE (Calle de las Infantas near Calle Gran Via) the best place for meet people from all over the world...and drink the best ang biggest mojito of madrid... (6€ 500ml of mojito with tapas 6€ tinto de verano)

I have about 9 days of summer vacation.

Instead of going to Japan as usual, I'm thinking of traveling to Europe this time.

My options so far are:

Turkey (istabul) or Spain (madrid or barcelona)

I'll be going with my girlfriend.

Where should I go.

I went to Barcelona, for food, maps, shopping, hotels used the Japanese guide books, also used the Wallpaper, and Luxee guide. Top 10 guides on amazon for sight seeing stuff.

For flight and hotels I used Amex travel

Madrid is blistering hot in the summer, think 40+. I preferred Barcelona, but both cities are very nice

Barcelona over Madrid. Train travel is pretty convenient...in those 9 days you can go to beach towns along the coast or Catalunya del interior.

I'd go to Istanbul!

You'd be able to ball out more in the culturally different Turkey!
