this could be great! anyone got the old-school military issue Tretorn canvas tennis shoes? I've had a few pairs over the years but they all wore through really quickly and since Jungle in covent garden closed I haven't seen them.

actually they weren't- just accidental splashback... they were a lot bluer but most of it came out in the wash. I like how it stayed in the ridges of the shell toe though

Here are my dead stock Converse Skidgrip CVOs about two months ago. I was only wearing the right one b/c of an ankle injury.

I will try to take some up-to-date comparison shots before I start wearing the left one too

Incidentally, shoeboxes used to be way better. This well-designed size conversion chart is a pretty cool "feature" to add to an otherwise disposable cardboard box.

^^ beauts mitch! another call out for Tretorn military issue plimsoles anyone?- the ones I had also always came in lovely boxes with a repeat print of tennis rackets on them, size converter on the bottom like these. The shoes themselves had the Swedish army 3 crowns stamped on the ankle. I think they were only £10 a pair- I should've bought the lot! At least I should've taken photos...

^ Yep, looks like it. Damn I thought I remembered the older ones not having that piece. I can't wear Chucks because that bit just rubs my foot badly. Nice find though and thanks for answering that question.
