japanese slim fit dickies.

they're probably made in mexico

fuck paying 80 for dickies, just get some dqm chinos or whatever

I've had three pairs of the Japanese slim fit dickies.

They are 5,800 yen retail.

The material is completely different from the ones sold in the US.

The USA ones use a super hard fabric and belt loops are pretty tiny. The Jpn editions have bigger belt loops and the material is much softer.

The whole Dickies collabo thing's gotten out of control though.

The link posted above is for the REGULAR slim fit Dickies (UM873s, I think).

American Rag Cie Dickies, for instance, fit much slimmer than the regular ones.

Every retailer in Japan have special dickies and it's impossible to keep track.

Dickies collabos I can think of right now:

-Grime Effect

-Hysteric Glamour

-Undftd x Master Piece

-Bedwin (there are sub-categories too e.g. Bedwin x UA x Dickies

-Blue Lug (bike shop)

-Beams, Rac Cie, Ships, UA, and etc

-Tokishiraz (well, they are owned by UA)

-The Back Drop

and more...

In order to revive this seemingly dead message board,

the top pairs are the same ones Vampy has.

They are some of my best purchases within the recent years.

I sort of wear them oversized so I can get a decent sag and show my belt.

They look the best when worn with Vans Eras or Red Wings.

2875 are the newer ones. They fit slimmer than U874s.

874s are more for Skate / West-coast / Ame-Cas steez.

875s are the extra slim ones, I think. They are new.

UM875s are slightly flared ala Levi's 514s

basecontrol have a pair too, they're pretty awesome. i can't compare to std jp dickies but they have a standard blend material (albeit with a pleasing hand) and a notch towards proper trousers. slightly more pricey (maybe 90k) but pretty stoked on them.

came up on them randomly in harajuku, hooray for mirror world shopping

so i take it 874s are the new UVCs?

i own a few pairs of the um874s and you'd definitely need to get em tailored if you want a skinny fit.

they come in at around a 20cm hem.

they're nice pants though.

also herp i think the UM2874 or UM2875s are the ones with a slight flare.

the standard low rise slim ones are UM874.

UM874 and UM2875 have the same cut except

UM2875s have a slight flare while UM874 doesn't.

unless jap dickies are constructed different or with far superior materials, i would just buy readily available american slim fit dickies and taper them. thats what i did. starting from above the knee i tapered the inseam to a hem opening of 17cm. they are only 28$. pay a tailor to do it for you for another 20. easy.

check my recent waywt for fits.

I take it you're looking at the 873? I think the ones herpsky has are the um874's. Are the 874's on the tilly's website the same thing?

Also, have you guys gotten rid of the permanent crease? I've got an old old pair of baggy dickies that I wore throughout highschool and the goddamn crease is still there.

http://www.tillys.com/tillys/brandpage.aspx?bid=13&cid=&ctlg=

seems to have the bigger belt loops as described...low rise? Lookin at the slim and skinny listed on that page.

how did you size herpsky?

That website sells American Dickies.

Not the Japland Specials.

UM2875s look really awesome. I might try to cop a pair on Y!

US Slim fit dickies suck, really low rise, pants still are not slim. It would be better to just get regular dickies tailored to your liking.

hey thread,

if you are into non-japanese-exclusive slim fit dickies, the hideout looks like they have basically the same thing + sidetabs and what looks to be a coin pocket

http://www.hideoutstore.com/productview.php?p=7410

and of course, at a price premium, ha

They don't have the coating on which makes them nice, and the narrow fit is really nice, worn mine all week, come up a bit bigger than tag size and the only limitation if them is they only come in beige and black, also unlike regular dickies all the seams inside are bound rather than the overlocked open seams on regular ones, for 60 quid it's pretty tough to find a nicer basic pant
