    Levi's RED

Ok will have a go later on the week - you've twisted my arm (see what I did then) - but they are a squeeze these days!

    @501XX4EVER Alright ! Thank you

Assuming the online UK inflation calculator I used is correct, that £500 would be £290 twenty years ago. They did not cost that much then. Agree £500 is defo OTT.

    Warehouse

Trust me, they are a pair of standard Lot 800 from Warehouse, 14.5oz. Nothing weird about the buttons, maybe they have been washed and put in a very hot dryer, that's why they feel different. I've had 3 or 4 pairs of Lot 800.

The looser version of the 1st Standards look alright to me but not £500 alright! Post some fit pics please @MJF9!

    Warehouse

Thanks ! The denim feels and look different from the most recent batch of 800 I’ve seen at BurgAndSchild which was slightly slubbier and with more nep. I’m not a warehouse expert at all. Anybody have any other clue ? What about the buttons ?

    Levi's RED

I pulled a pair out of my attic at the weekend from 1999 I think. They seemed a good idea back in the day. On Maynard's link they are most like the comfort ones at an eye watering £495! However you might find a vintage pair on grailed for considerably less!

Or a case of great minds think alike, fools seldom differ. I'm not sure a major brand having their designs, good or bad, copied by some upstart brand means either of them are winning.

Yes, but since then you've seen the Light and you're cured now.

Fits good on you. What Air Force are those, can you help me to identify?

    Warehouse

Got myself a basically brand new second hand warehouse on yahoo auction. I was wondering what denim is it made of? Banner denim or the 14.5 oz ? My model is a 800 with the actual patch but the buttons are a bit different than the actual model. The denim feels really light, more light than TCB 50. Almost like the XX from OOE. Some slub, essentially horizontally. Feels different than the banner denim from my 2002XX jacket. No red tab and the batch tag is cut off. Any clue?

    Acronym.

I have 2 colorsways for the J74 in size Large but no J36; I will say that the J74 in general is a very sung fit on me. Im 5-9 / 190lbs (athletic build); I can probably squeeze in a Medium if I wanted to. I will say this - the insulators I got in large because I can wear them as a jacket if I wanted to or under a shell. I would consider going up a size for the J36 if you plan on pairing with an insulator since I have read on here the jacket runs small. I also have a Large J58-ws and that fits much looser than the Large J74
  17. All I said was having the beginning of a post or photo quoted is helpful. Photo being singular so maybe we are in agreement? I don’t know if I have ever seen a forum where such a thing is mandatory though.

  19. Thanks for the informative posts and suggestions guys, very helpful! Have to agree with chambo2008; seeing multiple full quotes or a quote repeating the entire original post within one or two posts from the original is a waste of space.

    Full Count Denim Thread

On Instagram, @vinparamccoy examined the details of what changed between the old and new 1108. The most noticeable aside from the obvious removal of the arcs + tab is the back pocket stitching - it's gone from the extremely high stitch count of the old models to the more conventional number of stitches per inch. Kinda disappointing, since I really like this aspect of the old ones.

Agree w/ Z-11 sz 48 is gonna be too big. If you go back 2 pages I have a pic in sz 48 (5' 10" 175 lbs).

@Bobbo, that's fair enough. I didn't mean to discredit the folks designing them—I do assume they have good reasons for making this sort of decision, I guess I just don't know yet whether they'll be reasons that I like personally @JDelage, looking on their website, it seems like the Dollard, Ryman, and Vallecito are the ones I'm thinking of

    What about Jeans Jackets ....

Wash it when it gets dirty. Of course you can throw it in the machine if you want, but a handwash will strip less of the indigo out.
