  4. I have the Resolute 714 and Warehouse 1001XX brand new in storage. I also picked up the 220A from Denime and without a doubt, Denime is the nicer of the three, with the Warehouse next and Resolute last. Not to say 714 aren't good or anything but they have a way shallower rise (particularly the back) which makes them more of a "low-rise" jean. The 220A is on another level entirely. The Warehouse (and FC 1101W come to think of it, also in storage) fit closer to the Denime compared to the 714. With what I know now, if I were looking for any of those, I'd pull the trigger on the 220A with out hesitation.
  5. Thanks to both of you! I kind of figure that this would be the case for me as well since I have relatively large thighs and build for my waist size. I am a little concerned about the 710 rise and thighs on me, although I like the simplicity of the model and brand. The 220a rise actually would probably suit my frame pretty well and not be that large at my size and height and I like the denim based on the 232 jacket. I'm not necessarily looking or needing to buy any of them just yet, but I've considered all of those 3 (710, 714, and 220a) off-and-on for a bit. I'm in no rush at all and probably will at least wait to see what the new Denime XX and ring-spun series are like, before deciding if I want to buy any of them at all.

  10. @swiss-jeansfreak do you have an inventory of all the jeans in your Jeansmuseum?
  11. I think the 710 is the best cut out of the 60s style. 221 is kinda weird and I don't really love it on me. 224 is nice but as @beautiful_FrEaK stated, they have slightly weird proportions in the top block. 710 is just comfy all around and multiple sizes fit me correctly in different ways. Clear winner. If I had to pick an overall favorite out of the current Resolute/Denime offerings, 220 gets my vote for best fabric and best fit.
  12. WTT my p41-ds, raf, XL brand new, full set for your p41-ds, schwarzrot, L/XL HMU
  13. Start of the Redline Rally. The Flat Head western 10 oz. Warehouse ‘46 DSB.
  14. Still quite some admirable collections around. I myself just wear my Ironheart x Swissjeansfreak 14 oz straight cut collab jeans every day since January 2024. My older worn out jeans have become a part of the Jeansmuseum like all my other old jeans and denim jackets back since 1973
  15. The Resolute 714 is probably the best fit they make for my frame. So it's my favourite cut by Resolute. But I liked the Denime 220 more than i thought I would. They have a higher rise than I usually prefer but it felt nevertheless just right. In terms of 60s cut I prefer the Resolute 710 but only because I didn't wear the 221 yet and the 224 was surprisingly tight in the crotch. Tried the 224 on yesterday and they felt better but I didn't sit down in them 😅
  16. Here in the US, Brogue stocks Belafonte. I was able to visit Brogue a few weeks ago and it was great being able to handle the clothes - Belafonte is a brand I’ve checked out on numerous occasions through the Brogue site, but haven’t seen too much of online otherwise… I particularly like the Ragtime 1890 Aged Canvas trousers, but not sure I’d be able to pull them off - they are quite wide. The other pieces Brogue had were also very intriguing. The fabrics are all quite nice, and the general aesthetic is unique.
  17. Made a cargobike for a friend. Quit a lot of work. It rides pretty smooth
  18. Thanks for posting. I’ve definitely considered their trousers a few times, so I wouldn’t mind knowing more.
  19. I’ve gone on a run these past 18 months and need to tone it down. Excuse my arcane signifying system. I’m too tired to think of something better. Haven’t sold hardly anything and really don’t want to, though this may change at some point. 20. I think this brand has popped up in the ‘unknown’ brands thread - probably more deserving of this dedicated corner. Clutch stock a little bit - they had more but it doesn’t look like they’ve restocked https://clutch-cafe.com/collections/belafonte Similar with EastWest Apparel https://eastwestapparel.co.uk/shop/browse/brand/belafonte-ragtime-clothing/ I quite like the look of their Hammeralls denim
  21. These are the hi back trousers in denim that I purchased from the last year. First pic is a close up on the raw fabric. This is what they were like after their first wash. What they look like now
  22. This is a thread to share opinions and information about the Japanese brand Belafonte (or Belafonte ragtime clothing). I couldn’t find any other thread about the brand, and I think the brand is quite interesting and deserves its own thread. This is their website Instagram The brand style is mostly inspired by early 20th century workwear, but I don’t think they do strict reproductions. You can quite easily order from them either via email or via Instagram account of Tom (which is also the model in their pictures) who has perfect English. They ship worldwide as far as I know. Personally I currently own 1 item from them and have another one on the way. The main reason I decided open this thread (first one for me, so sorry if it’s not too good) is that I can’t really find a lot of info or history about the brand. I did find this little quote from the Clutch Cafe website: “Belafonte was started in 2012 by Noboru Tanaka, a designer from Tokyo, for more than 20 Years. Mr Tanaka's vision with Belafonte is to create clothing that matches his own personal vision and something that he, himself, would wear. In order to do this, production can become a little expensive, but as a small independent brand by doing this they ensure the greatest quality product for their customers. For each season, half a year is spent researching and evaluating what kind of clothing would be produced during the time period Mr Tanaka takes his primary inspiration from. Belafonte don't like to make like for like replicas of vintage goods but rather take the best part of a vintage design and apply their own vision and touch to try and make something that’s uniquely appealing to their customers. This freedom of design is something that Belafonte hold in the highest regard. “ Please, feel free to share your experience and products and anything Belafonte related.
  23. I've been spending a lot of time gardening and doing yard work in my pair of Warehouse this spring. Azaleas (pink flowers) and Siberian irises (purple flowers) are currently in bloom. Hopefully, Big Leaf Golden-Ray is next and later Russian Sage and Black-Eyed Susans.
  24. @beautiful_FrEaK Out of curiosity, what is your personal preference (historical accuracy aside) between your Resolute pairs and their relatively similar cuts in the new Denime by Warehouse. For example, do you prefer Resolute 714, 711, or Denime 220a for a wider 40's/50's cut? Do you prefer the Resolute 710 or Denime 221 or 224 for a slimmer more tapered 60's/70's pair? @blooming I think that you have most of these too. I thought about including some of the older Denime models (e.g, classic XX, 66xx, Kyoto) but feel like that would be scope creep and a more difficult apples-to-apples comparison.
  25. I'll add mine too. I try to keep things limited to pairs that I wear at least semi-regularly. Samurai S211VX got the boot this year - fades were starting to come in nicely but way too tapered for my calves and leg opening way too small for my feet. Warehouse Duck Digger 1001xx 1947 (probably my most worn pair) TCB 50's (close 2nd in terns of wear frequency) TCB Cat's Drive (occasional wear for now until the WH get too rough) RRL Black Slim High (nicely fade in lap but too slim and tapered for me now + waist touch too big; very occasional wear) Sugar Cane 1947 Black x White (new pickup to replace RRL in rotation as black pair) TCB No. 2 1890 (to arrive this summer - may bump Cat's Drive depending on how I feel or get bumped if not to my taste) Denime 232 Type II (only jacket for now)
  26. These are still available. Make me an offer! Freewheelers #2122041 S601Xx size 31
