    Denime

Denime started a Youtube channel and have uploaded 2 videos so far. About the initial wash: And about hemming: Interesting part here, he rolls the freshly hemmed leg opening to create a roping effect. This starts roughly in the middle of the clip.

Shoes that look better with age...

Someone asked me to reveal more details not only once but a few times which I ignored at first. So you are WRONG. Then asked me to post at least the shows I used. Then more details and wasn’t satisfied. I tried to keep it in a funny way and some people felt insulted or insecure. If you are hyper sensitive very thin skin is not my problem. This is an internet forum and you are ONLY Aa bunch of letters n my screen. then you started whining I wasn’t giving more data. I just post shoes and people make comments. You should have read my post before writing this so you wouldn’t be saying things that are just in your subconscious. I call it insecurity, kid. I said I think wearing clown sport shoes (colourly flashy big etc) when you are not performing is something i would never do. Yes, when I run I obviously use running shoes. And if I sky I use sky boots. So now you set the rules of which shoes are denim related and which aren’t lol Humility? Coming from you? someone that doesn’t respect traditional dojos? Read your first post again and tell me. I respect Mr Miyagi and Kung Fu Panda (i know this wasn’t you) and ANYONE that makes an effort in what they do, black belts or white belts or even weekend amateurs like you. I respect 28 handicap golfers and will never disrespect anyone unless they try to tease in a bad way like you did. In competitive sports and MMAA you always find someone better that kicks your ass and lifting of being KO is just normal. You know that well so no discussion there. But stop whining and contradicting yourself and next time build a good argument with facts at least and I’ll be more that happy to engage in a fruitful discussion. why I joined Sufu? Jeans. Why did you join Sufu? I don’t care. you are the one that started saying I was bullshitting. Not in a funny way as others. If I hit a nerve there I’m not sorry at all. someone asked about what sports MMAA you did and you gave details. See? You should have said you should only comment on jeans, right?
  8. True.. I'm still perplexed opening a banana?
  9. It’s too exotic for your northern palette. You can’t just undo years of genetics like that. You need to stick to Greggs.
  10. Well, as much as I come here for the tomfoolery, at some point someone have to step up and give a factual answer. Right? Now, all continue being amusing!

  15. @Spiraltoy good to see a proper answer, instead of this hoola hoop and prickly flesh tomfoolery

Thanks for that. I've looked at the Explorer vest as well, it looks very nice but I'm not sure I can justify that kind of money for a vest. Which iteration do you have? The lightweight denim one looks very nice.

@Geeman might be good to take up BJJ, as an aside. (Skill and experience will oft overcome youth/vigor there)

I boxed and did traditional karate, Wado Ryu, as a kid before teenage interests took over. Later in life I did Muay Thai for 10 plus years before moving to MMA. Gave up around 8 years ago, injuries and old age caught up and the young guys were kicking my ass to often! @Duodequinquagesimus no one has asked you to reveal anything personal or any personally identifiable information. ..... you posted a pic that alluded to doing a martial art and made comments about only wearing sneakers for sports/clowns which prompted obvious, genuine questions about which sports you do. Your sanctimonious responses belie the sense of humility that most martial artists are taught. You have joined a forum to engage with people and discuss denim etc 99% of your posts have actually been about clothing/shoes that's not denim related and you are now being hostile whilst engaged in discussion? Step back and take a breath mate and remember why you joined SuFu?

I like my Birdwell frog camo swim trunks but I could have gone a size up. Plus I don’t really go swimming anymore as I sunburn too easily and don’t have an indoor pool near me to use. If anyone’s in the market for a pair in w32 worn once let me know.

    Denim Repair

I started blowing a hole in the back pocket of my tenders and thought I’d document the repair process using the technique I shared last week! im getting rid of my smartphone in a few days, which is the cause of all my pocket blowouts, so hopefully this will be the last time this is necessary. Hole in the bottom of the left pocket there - I’ve had to repair pretty much all the stitching in this area over the past few months as you might be able to tell. Here’s the pocket after unpicking the stitching! The lining has stayed pretty well intact. I love seeing the original colour of the denim in these sorts of spots. The original ecru thread (on left) picked up quite a bit of indigo dye over the years so I chose a 100% cotton thread that sort of matched the colour. My camera sucks but it looks close enough to me lol Stitching over the hole - down following the twill, two stitches down the warp, then back up the twill and repeat! This is a super easy technique because you just line up the machine foot with each line in the fabric and try to sew as straight as possible. I’m not very good at sewing perfectly straight lines but it helps a lot to have these as a guide. After going over the hole I went over everything again, moving one warp thread over so the pattern overlaps. This is from my single needle chain stitch machine which has a bit of a faulty tensioner, hence the loose stitches at the end of each line. Doesn’t look too good, but so far I haven’t had one break on me! And here’s everything closed up and sewn back together. Like I said before, if you match the colour of the fabric (ideally with an indigo dyed thread) this repair can be pretty well invisible. I hope this is helpful to you all - it’s about the easiest machine repair I’ve ever done and always gives nice strong results!

1000XX has typically been my favorite cut, leaning more towards 47's than the 1001XX which were 50's right? Either way, these look super cool. Can't wait for more images and info
