^ mondo, I'm sure your hand sewn repair will blend in better than my bright yellow. If I lived closer to town I'd have sought a better match but I've learned from experience best to get the job done with what's available. Otherwise I never seem to get things done.

^ I'm impressed at anybody's attempts to use a machine..! I've had some similar wear at the crotch, but have resorted to my usual darning with indigo threads unpicked from a roll of Cone selvedge I've had for ages – one edge of the roll is frayed from having some odd pieces cut out, so I figure I've got a few years left of unpicking before the roll gets tidied up and needs to be preserved. I'll get some pics up one day... dodgy as my efforts are, the indigo thread ends up fading and blending into the original fabric so the repairs become very much a part of the jeans -
It was time to reinforce a couple of seams. I'm not the greatest with a sewing machine but it's certainly handy to have one on hand. The scraggly bits are the old threads. In addition to the yellow thread I used some blue right at the edge of the fold to add extra strength & make it lay flat. The second photo is the inside leg seams where the cuff folds had caused the original threads to fail.

maybe he finally caught whoever it is who has been taking photos and is now taking matters into his own hands
-
Thanks! Maybe the fit is suited a taller frame.

I also “bought” the 3A-1 L2 last week from him. Time to open a dispute.

They look great on you. On Christophe... not so much. I love the fabric and colour on these.

This post from Ryo on the TCB blog was good coincidence just as I was thinking of the blackness of the dark blue WW11's compared to the deeper bluer colours of post 47s. I was on 1 day liking the black/blue and then the next day the bluer blue.... These 3 shown are obviously different stages of fading process - so maybe the black/blue 40's will lose their black... -
Quick and easy transaction. Don't sleep on his stuff.

I'm the 'love it' on other people camp.. It's a great coat and i love to see it I also love Marmite
-
I’m the ‘love it’ camp. Great pick up. Always thought it strikes a perfect balance between interesting, experimental design with something that is actually wearable in the real world. Just the right amount of out there. Awesomes.

I’ve been ‘told’ it’s not a myth ...
-
Isn't our 'inability' to multitask a myth, based upon the notion that we can't possibly do the cooking, cleaning, washing, home school all at the same time because we're only mere men who's brains just arn't wired to do all the mundane shit simultaneously
-
Thanks @Double 0 Soul, I know it’s easy enough to get measurements and compare it denim you already have but it’s still great when they finally arrive and fit just right. Bring on the warmer months.
-
Who say’s men can’t multi-task?

It's a really nice wash, got it off eBay but ended up chatting quite a lot with the seller. Apparently it had some sort of resin coating originally which was designed to make it fade quicker/in a nicer way. I've actually got the matching 47 501s, just waiting to get them hemmed as they're pretty long. Another pair that have been in storage that I can now fit into Absolutely love the jacket though, very few LVC denim jackets that fit big enough to be loose on me. Got a Valencia Street one too that fits quite a bit shorter.

Great story Neal and I like the video too, although I know snuff movies aren’t everyone’s cup of tea!
-
They look great @Toegun the wide leg really suits you, ballences out your wide chest and broad shoulders perfectly. I'll even stick my neck out and say, your best fit pic

When i was a young apprentice i used to periodically maintain/replace all the wooden machinery at the local snuff mill at Sharrow on the river Porter (just around the corner from where we currently live ) the mill was modernised in the late 60's incorporating steam power along with the waterwheel (wtf!) all the machinery was made of wood so i used to replace it when it wore out .. some of the old fellas who i used to work with would scrape the solidified snuff from the frames of the sieve boxes and re-stock their own snuff boxes... sounds like something from the Victorian era but this was the mid-90's the mill is still producing snuff today, albeit all the wooden machinery has been replaced with modern machinery. https://sharrowmills.com/pages/our-history

Yes there has already been some faffing with them different configurations I'm expecting the only way will be to stick to one arrangement per outing and remorselessly embrace the inevitable dishevelment Thanks for the good luck message!
