the search for plain t-shirts with a tight collar

did a search, nothing came up from what i've found..

been searching around stores only to be dissapointed.

i'm in search of some plain t-shirts (white, black, grey, etc) that

are made well, use a heavier fabric, have a tight collar, and do

not fall into the "fat man" status a lot of shirts end up as. the

tight collar is a must.. i hate the look of wide, loose collars.. shit

looks mega sloppy. i'm not talking about v-necks either, stricly just

crew neck shirts.

any ideas? i've searched high and low and came out w/ nothing.

i know ya'll have the inside scoop on some good tees.

side note: i do tend to wear shirts on the looser side i guess. i don't like

wearing spandex tight muscle shirts.

proclub, costco kirkland

proclub will choke your neck

i know these are sold only as wholesale.. is there a physical place i would be able to try these out in person?

american apparel tees will just fall apart after a couple wears.. i want something that last a bit longer.. i do however spy on their website a "military" shirt which they say has a heavier fabric? anybody have any experience with these?

well, you can find proclub in nearly any swapmeet, if you dont have a costco membership or one near by you can just easily ask someone

kirklands fit huge at first, but shrink alot with each wash and will eventually fit you perfect, thickest shirts I know also

^ i dunno, maybe its just the way my body is

i'm 5'8 - 5'9ish, weigh 160lbs, which a lot of ppl would assume i wear a medium sized shirt.

however, i have a big back/wide shoulders/actually work out so i have muscles, and mediums fit morel ike a small. so i wear a large/shrunken XL.

maybe since i gotta wear bigger shirts, they all come w/ bigger collar openings.. its the only way i can reason it.

anywho, i picked up some costco shirts, and they fit pretty well... i'm just hoping they don't shrink thattttt much, otherwise i gotta go back and get the XL.

The military shirt is stiff, thick and well built (surprising for AA).

I own one and they fit true to size and the collar shouldn't be a problem. They are a bit pricey tho...

J Crew has the best tees in my opinion, except i often need to stretch the collar a bit before putting it on, so it might be perfect for you. they are a bit short though.

they are expensive, but luckily i live near an outlet store and use the student discount so they end up being less than $10. (regularly $20+)

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but I think Kiya said something about how here soon they'll be carrying blank Flat Head loopwheeled tees. The neck opening on those is a tight fit.

this would be awesome, and very interesting to see when im in the bay area

AAA is my favorite.

i agree, AAA are dope. i get them at the local swap meet, but am just trying to find other shirts

tried this on. was pleasantly suprised. too bad they only had one color and a minimal stock. might go back and try them again

AAA. Buy wholesale if you don't have retailers in your neck of the woods -- I haven't used it in awhile, but I'd opened a wholesale account for my own personal use a couple years ago. I've purchased maybe 10 shirts for myself total with no problems at like 3-4 bucks a shirt.

Only minor issue was that I got calls every now and again from my "account rep". He left very gentle voicemails asking if I was still satisfied with their service seeing as I hadn't placed an order in awhile and that, gosh, he hoped everything was okay and was there perhaps some issue he could resolve to retain me as a client.

Old hanes Beefy tees were the best

they make them differently now, but like you said theyre kind of hard to find sometimes

pro club has a newer slim fit line, which should work if you want a slim fit unless you are really small, theres a listing on ebay i think

cheap and tons of colors
