yo dawg, sounds good but i'd suggest using a soft clipper or a limiter setting to create distortion artifacts to make DAT BASS stand out with DAT KNOCK. you have his snare rolls down for sure tho lol.

i like to use the t-racks soft clipper on sub bass, sounds real nice n raw.

right now i only really use waves maxxbass and eq on sub bass.

edit: just checked i already had that soft clipper i'll definitely check it out.

don't quantize everything perfectly, add random fills...even if it's just one off-place hit somewhere it will add some dynamics, a lot of it is the drum samples too, they're very clean themselves.

andrew, the melody loops are good. I like 'em.

try different drum kits, that could help.

also i guess you need to learn to "eq/reverb etc" the sound. that'll help.

i'm having trouble getting that deep, heavy 808 bass. if it's deep enough, it's not loud enough, and vice versa.
