I always look at stores like Gap with kind of a handicap, like "well, for them, it's pretty good". And in that case, it's pretty good... As far as them going bankrupt, I don't see it happening. I have a friend who works in sourcing for the Gap and they are completely debt free and sitting on tons of cash. I think they'll be around for a while.

I'd strictly shop at the Gap if their XS was more like Uniqlo's. Reason being it is local and cheap; I could get a Blue Oxford and their selvedge denim and look better than 90% of the people in my town.

I work with someone who bought a pair online; they look good. Can't speak for the quality but they look much like APCs. Biggest plus is they can be found for as low as $30 on sale racks.

Agreed. And it always sickens me to see the label inside clothes by GAP, Guess, and equivalent labels which states "genuine leather," as if that's something special and unusual.
