How to stop Indigo Dye rubbing off on rest of my clothes????

I have always worn vintage Big E levi's and have finally bought a pair of modern dry jeans....Blue Blood Dry Goods. The jeans are fine but the dye to ruining my shoes and everything else it they come into contact with.

Does anybody have a soution that does not involve machine or hand washing them as I don't want the shrinkage??

Also as a side note I bought an Atelier Ladurance Classic Jumper 11oz denim jacket.............highly recommended it's superb and quite soft after a few days wearing. the stitching is the best I have seen.

I know people here have put tape on the inside of the jeans to stop the bleeding.

Either that or wear dark shoes ...

In any case, it will stop after a couple of months

Thanks Cue, after a couple of months.......is that without any sort of cleaning?

The sticky tape option sounds a bit drastic and dark shoes is a no no, I only wear Clarks Desert Rain's in sand and brown variations...it's an english thing.

Any other denim junkies out there with any tips, cheers

which blue bloods did you get? cause when i tried them on they were MASSSIVE!!!

My Blue Bloods are the very plain Dry Goods model. They are not massive and are bascially like a vintage 1966 Big E Levis. Until recently I had a pair of For Our Friends which had gold buttons and perfect dark denim. I think that those pair are the best I have ever seen., sold them on ebay for a song!! They were way too big for me.

I have only just got into looking at this website, it seems weird that so many people are denim junkies, my addiction started 20 years ago going through hundreds of old levis in Afflects Palace and finding the odd selvedge pair........even the thought of it makes my eyes cloudy. It seems to be a lifelong addiction................nothing wrong with the odd vice I say!!

Being anal I am now going to have to look into different types of tape.....sad moi
