metallic chucks

I had to do some work with the new converse catalog at work and I saw these. I might have to pick up the gold ones.

There are some cool variations coming out next quarter too. One called something like 'simple details' where everything on the shoe is bigger, ie. thicker laces, stitching, grommets, and logo patch.

They're also bringing out chucks that are already like broken in and dirty and distressed, to match your Diesel jeans covered with stains and holes that you had to pay extra for.

I called distressed shoes a long time ago, Its not that absurd when you think of it. I like my shoes to look clean though. Chucks look good beat up though if your going for the alternative/rocker/hipster look, so cliche.

Chucks...played out? Cmon... Chucks never play out. They have had a place in every decade. Granted...I think they are hideous and should never be worn under any circumstances, but played out? I think not good sir!

I agree. Chucks are classic. They will never go out of style. Just like levi's 501. Granted there has been a lot of focus on them with the new semi-rock revival/what ever you wanna call it... but Chucks are here to stay.

These metallics are over a year old now. They used to be only available at Barney's Coop and very limited. Now they're everywhere and not limited at all. Sadly, I once rocked them.
