it used to be 1 usd = 3.20 about five months ago.

no more spending spree for me! and malaysians clothing stores are shitty in general and the imported high end stuff are taxed like crazy.

As of this month you are paying roughly 20% more now for american goods and 33% more for japanese goods, I did the maths a few nights ago. It's pretty ridiculous.

If I had invested $1,000,000 in american dollars two months ago then converted back to aussie dollars today, I would have made a very quick $200,000.

It's funny talking to people who have no sense of the dollar, thinking it is always $2 AU = $1 US. I've spoken to people who thought this when it was $1.00 AUD = $0.93 USD.

Sit it out, it will change, the market is very volatile at the moment. On the bright side interest rates are back to normal .
