shops in tokyo

headed to tokyo in a few days and am looking for shops that carry Warehouse, Sugarcane and other denim lines unavailable stateside...

no beams dont have it. these above brands have their own stores.

get the lighting tokyo shops issue. mostly they're in ebisu and daikanayama.

for denim check also omnigod, real mccoy, okura, kapital, lvc, 45rpm, johnbull, denime, fullcount, drybones etc.

have fun and max your credit card.

BEAMS won't have it. Yes diakanyama should have em in their the respective label's stores. Also check out Eternal denim store and Hollywood Ranch Market. Have fun.

did a search to try to find japanese shops but found this thread -- so where exactly do I get this magazine? Any particular store? And what is it really? a guide with a map to all those stores? I'm currently staying in the Shinjuku area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a bit confused about your question. BEAMS is a speciality clothing store. As are all the other locations (save the denim brand names). The best guide for japanese stores is on the men's non-no website: http://mensnonno.shueisha.co.jp/map/. Unfortunately, you need to know how to read Japanese to some extend but the interface is fairly intuitive. The best guide for japanese stores in English is this site but it's horribly outdated for some shops.

All the clothing in Japan is "MAD" expensive. Try to buy a "fashion" t-shirt for under 6,000 yen, won't happen.

Yes, that's the magazine. Often Boon and Smart do map spreads of Tokyo shops, so be sure to check those magazines as well.
