If you're looking for trendy pieces like designer jeans then hit up the Macy's at Union Square. The place is huge. Lots of other shops in that area as well.

^ expanding on that, Union Square also has Nordstrom (4th floor has juniors/girls shop), Anthropologie, FCUK, Puma, Diesel, Miss Sixty, Lucky Brand, Urban Outfitters ... lots more...

yeah definitely, just walk around market st. you'll find a lot of shops there as well as down powell and such i believe french connection is down powell.

yeah union square is nice, plenty of department store options. Down on Haight you have tons of fun options Villians Vault was mentioned good for womens jeans (they have the super slim kim) and Behind the Post Office is a fun store too
