How to get a t-shirt a distressed or aged look ?

Recommended Posts

To all you fashion designers or people with any other experiences.

I would like to get a t-shirt a distressed, faded, worn-out and aged look through an artificial way. I want to use them later for some prints.

Any experiences how I could get such a look? Which substances or chemicals to use?

Many thanks !!!

could mix in a cap or two of bleach in to a spray bottle and finely mist the shirt to distress the color, but if you get big drops it will not fade evenly, use a good mister for flowers for best results.

rock salt does work, or a sock wash bag, filled with torn up pieces of a soda can... you can get some little holes and wear going, experiment with different stuff in the sock wash bag that you put in the dryer on low to tumble and beat it up... find what gives you the results your looking for... can give a shitty shirt a really nice hand.
