thanks all. it is the nike vintage vandal in question. i almost pulled the trigger on the raf vandals today but although the peeps at oki-ni are always great to deal with, returning is expensive -$50 last time.

also, unless raf shoes are cut big, i don't think a euro 45 will cut it. the nike vandals are almost the same colorway and not too different.; i wouldn't be removing the nike out of shame, but nike is so fucking played.

anyway, thanks again, and i'm gonna wait to see how much of my children's future i blow on cp at den first.

the raf vandals are defineitly skinnier and higher. anyway nothing wrong with the swoosh on regular vandals. i'd say vandals are one of my fav nike models.

honestly i am a 41-42 in everything. i always try to size up though...just because.

raf in my opinion always funs big though....

depending on the shoe. for af1s and vandales i do 8.5. vandals run big, cause of the nose. af1 seem to fun big. other than those too, i do 9. 9.5 for spizikes. why we gettin all NIKETALK??

raf runs big. sometimes it feels like a full cm bigger, but for safety i just liberally calculate .5 bigger than stated size.

i can't believe you are in nyc and there is not a single place where there is a pair of raf sneakers in size 45 for you to try on.

ive done this to a pair of dunks.

the only problem is the stitch holes are visible, and by taking the swoosh off, you might accidently mess with some other of the pieces if fabric on the shoe.

I've always liked the shape of the AF2. If I could get my hands on an all white or all black pair for cheap I'd try this.

Actually, I sized down TWO (ahah), i took a size 41 and i'm a 43 in Nike in european sizes, 42 in made in italy, and 41.5 if it existed in the cp, raf, yohji etc... sole based shoes, so I take either 41 or 42. The vandals have those sole if i remember well.

If you're a 46 in like nike, the 45 vandals at oki ni may fit you well. Shit they look good, I shouldn't have checked oki-ni...

The velcro hitops I kopped were on sale at $410, but mah sister checked for me at the store, but they don't have anything near your size anymore.

About removing the swoosh, a friend of mine did it on his af1, but now the stitches holes are very visible if you look at them. I am tryin to find a way to fill them but ...
