Premium outlets, is it good ? (NYC)

Hey,

I have a friend who said to me that Premium Outlets in Woodbury Commons is a good place in NYC to buy some clothes at reduced prices. Is that true ?

I never find anything good there cept at the crate and barrel outlet there.

I've gone there before but never really bought anything for myself, it's usually to find bargain stuff for gifts. It's all chains and mainstream pieces.

i found great work clothes there. not really a place for casual attire.

Woodbury is about 45 minutes to an hour north of the City. It depends on how fast you drive though. They have a Diesel Outlet and a Polo outlet. Those are the only two I check when I go there. Easy to steal shit from the Ralphie outlet.

Can anyone rate the Etro store as worth the drive?

etro has some real nice stuff last time i went, but the prices are still high. I'm sure it's a steal if you are use to buying etro stuff @ retail stores

Thank you! I've heard good and bad things about the other stores, but no one ever seems to go to Etro. I wish I was used to buying from their retail stores!

I have done pretty well there. mostly dress shoes actually: great pair of Armani loafers a few years back, as well as a pair of Tods. Dolce and Gabbana for neckties...

i think there are a lot of shops people don't go into that have great stuff. if you go plan to browse and look for deals.

there is a great selection of shoes there depending on your feet size.

I know most people would go to the name brands such as gucci, ferragamo and etc.

but I found versace to be quite good also, which was not filled w/ people compared to gucci. I bought a very nice pair of dress pants for 75% off the outlet price, $60 and who knows what retail was...

worth looking around, especially at neiman marcus last call and saks

I think it's more worthwhile if you plan to get bigger items as the prices are great, but still quite a bit of money. I saw a very nice etro winter jacket...too bad I bought one last winter.
