i got this pair and i have some serious doubts now. they arent selvedge! (the leg opening isnt, the coin pocket is) the rivets are black as well(shown in pics) They are an old cut (1007) and i couldnt find anything about it here so id like some opinions.

it is possible my samurai bootcut is selvedge and youc an see from the proportion these have been hemmed.. so the selvedge was cut off.. selvedge on bootcuts are just a couple of inches from the original hem..

or rather if theyve not been hemmed theyre early models..
