i spilled some ice cream on my raw denim.

should i take them to the cleaners now?

i've only been wearing them for a month, but i wanted to wait six months until the first dry clean/wash. any suggestions? thanks!

Dry clean or wash them.

If dry cleaning and you have a leather patch label, check with the cleaners to see if their method of cleaning will effect the leather. That's the best way to keep them 'dry'.

If you want to wash them without losing much dye, just soak them in cold/lukewarm soapy water and rinse. Lay them flat in a bath. No hard scrubbing, no wringing. Hand dry. Use a simple vegetable soap if you're picky about such things (ph neutral, no enzymes, no whiteners).
