or any font that has an R very reminiscent to this? I tried whatthefont, even blacking out everything other than the characters but it didn't come up with anything similar..

Isn't P22 a font foundry? and Johnston the name of the designer? of "Underground" (London Subway font)?

I think it's the same font, basically a sans serif used in the London Underground that looks like Gill Sans. But I started to read a book about Eric Gill yesterday, and his mentor was Johnston, so maybe it precedes Gill Sans?!

Anyone know of a good digital of Akzidenz that has multiple weights and ligatures and all that biz. I have some mediocre CE versions but they are only Roman & Bold. Does such a thing even exist ?

(I guess I would settle for a fully-fitted Basic Commercial too.)
