Nudie vs Edwin

I'm thinking of getting a pair of nudies but I saw some edwin's the other day and was tempted. It's been hard for me to decide since then, so I need some help here guys. Which ones do you think is better in your opinion? After afew pointers I think my mind maybe abit clearer.

I think the Edwins are better

But that's maybe because Edwins are a bit more exclusive in sweden, everyone here wears either cheap monday or nudie.

the edwins with rainbow selvage are so fucking georgus

the only nudies i like are the ones in veggie indigo

I'm gonna go with Edwin: more history, more fabs/finishes (bamboo denim, C'MON!). Plus I absolutely HATE the back pocket deco stitch on Nudies...so feminine!

i'll take edwin any day. why name a raw denim after (nudie cohen) the guy that rhinestoned jeans for liberace and fat elvis? and i'm not so fond of the back pocket stitching either. edwin has history. personally i've never had the desire to own a nudie

tried on a pair of washed Edwins once, didnt do much for me. own 3 pairs of Nudies, i like the back pocket stitching and the cuts are top notch, never had a better fitting jean.

imo, i think the Edwin rainbow selvage is fugly...looks like something that would go really well in West Hollywood, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'd have to vote for Edwin, though I've never tried on a pair of Nudies. I just don't like the look of the ones I've seen, and yeah, I'm not digging that back pocket stitching...

i'd go with nudie, because i love the backpocketstitching and i'm wearing my nudie rr dry selvage a lot, they just fit me really well and i don't own an edwin so. but edwin has a lot more history that's true, but looking at all responses it's about 50-50 between edwin-nudie, i think you should just go to a store and try on some edwins and some nudies, i think there isn't much difference in quality so just see which one fits you best

I vote Nudie. I have never had better fitting jeans. Of course, I don't mind the back pocket stitching (though there are always seam-rippers.)

I tried on some Edwins recently and the fit was unflattering to say the least.

But, everyone is different, I second RobbertJan, try them on and see what fits you best.

How do you figure that?

Nudie has nowhere the same amount of exposure and/or brand awareness that Diesel has.

And to date, Nudie hasn't been embraced by the so-called hipsters/metrosexuals that have turn Seven & True Religion into the global fads that they are today.

I fail to see how Nudie will ever blow up that big and become as commonplace....

But that being said, I'm basing this on Nudie's current distribution, marketing and pricing as compared to what Diesel's done/has done.

i think edwin definitely has more variety than nudie, nudie fits are different on your body, but the denim/look is the same.

edwin has different selvage denim, i personally like the rainbow selvage one

Does anyone know who sells Edwin in Los Angeles, CA? I know Kitson used to carry it for men, but they don't have womens. My sister came back from Japan with like 4 pairs and I totally have to get some of my own.

I own a pair of Nudies which I love, and I don't know anyone else that has a pair.

I'm a big fan of Edwin though the only pair I have were $7 from Value Village, and fit terribly.

Both companies make great jeans so I'd just say.. go with what looks better on you.. fashion is about looking good.
