Forever 21: Heritage 1981 Denim

Hey everyone. I'm pretty new to the idea of raw denim. Have been around the site for about a month, and decided to test the waters with a pair of Levi's STF. It's been about three weeks since I've had this pair, and I've been looking around at price ranges, brands, styles, and things, and found it pretty difficult finding "the right pair" with a reasonable price.

I currently work at Forever 21, a predominately women's clothing store with a men's clothing line about 2 years old. I normally do not buy pants from Forever 21 since they all have a slim fit and I like my pants to have a regular fit. However, today I saw a pair of denim which caught my attention, tried it on, liked it, bought it, and decided to share it with anyone interested.

Barcode #: 41948746018, Size 34, $29.00.

And these are my three week old Levi's STF. 33x30. No pretreatment or anything, just wore them after buying.

The rivets and buttons on those jeans look terrible. I guess you get what you pay for with $30 mall jeans.

If you're into them that's cool... but be careful about hoarding cheap jeans - I know $30 seems cheap, but if you buy a bunch of cheap jeans that you don't really like the fit of it just adds up. You may as well save your money and try to find a pair of really nice jeans that you like the fit of even if they cost you $250.

If you enjoy raw denim, save your money and search for a good pair on this forum. There's a wealth of knowledge, and everything's been discussed before. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a needle-in-a-haystack denim manufacturer that produces a great pair of jeans which hasn't been discussed.

Some people are comfortable wearing $20 jeans from the GAP but the return is NOTHING compared to the return of those of say, a pair of Samurais.

Thanks for all the feedback. Again, just testing the waters with a few pairs before I decide to spend 250+ on a pair of jeans that I'm not too sure of. The Levi's I have I think might actually be too short when I shrink it, so good thing I'm just having a trial and error.
