Double RL Likes Or Dislikes/ RRL

It is a hard Brand to pin down. One one hand, he makes some really beautiful and authentic looking vintage pieces in sizes that fit most americans. On the other hand, he goes way too far sometimes with inauthentic distressing etc. I go to RRL for some stuff when I can get it cheap at outlets. I'd never pay full price though.

retail is highway robbery. $800 for a belt? get real.

nice pieces though, and probably one of the only American brands to really get down the Amerikaji look. The stores are also fun to look through... there's a mix of new and vintage stuff.

Denim is nice, but I wish it was less colorfast... dang things are hard to fade!

Thanks for the opions. I have been wearing RRL for the past 5 plus years and like alot about it but some things I do not. I do really like thier new denim line, rigid skinny's and low rise straight and boot cut low. They have them all in raw rigid, and the selvedge denim comes from the same manufacture in Japan that Samarui, Flathead and some other companys use.

no resale value.

i learned this the hard way.

1) go to the RRL store on bleecker and cop sum jawns

2) too skeeney and can't wear dem

3) sell dem on ebay...only to find out that RRL items are sold at ralph lauren outlets at 95% off of retail.

4) cry myself to sleep
