they got a new store opening on neal street or near there somewhere. Not sure where the party's at, tickets are available from contacting Dazed, i think

I stopped in briefly this evening. The party was in the shop itself (which has not yet opened), but the shop probably holds 25 people at a push and there were well over 100 people there, so most of the party was actually outside in Neal Street itself. One staff member told me they 'might' open tomorrow if the shop was not too trashed, and if they could collect enough shop assistants who were not hungover.

The crowd seemed mostly the Soho fashion / media / club set; quite a few Japanese were there too. A lot of Edwins were in evidence, second place went to Levis ('respect' as Ali G would say...), third maybe Carhart, fourth Lees. Empahsis was definitely on the "honest workermans" jeans, not the artificially destroyed or hand-painted fashion models... not a Tsubi or an Evisu in sight...

I didn't spend very long in the shop itself (it's like one of those art gallery openings where there are so many people you can't see what's on the walls), but it looks pretty nice.

when i had my exhibition up at carhartt i heard that the same distributors for them in europe would be opening up edwin. quite cool, will check it out this weekend.
