Suede Dress Shoes

Anyone know who makes a decent pair of classic suede black / brown dress shoes? Preferably black, and better quality than designer. I'm not looking for spectacular innovation, just something reasonably priced and good quality.

i picked up a really nice pair of brown suede wingtips made by brooks brothers peal....great quality.... but youre not a fan of wingtips..lol

Hi, maybe you should try to contact with Maftei, viennese shoemaker family company - they have a lot of classics, also they could make every kind of shoes you want to (you can choose materials, colors, shapes, etc., everything - also you can send them drawing or photo of your dream's shoes, really). They are not very cheap (about 550eu for pair, but that's the price for medicore stuff like jil sander or prada), but you would not find anything better than that, I swear - I tried a lot of brands, like crockett, churchs or ludwig reiter, but that's another level of quality, details and so one, and yes, Maftei's are specially for your own foot, that's the point too... Also i checked that they have some kind of service in US to get measurements of your foot... Yeah, so good lock ;-)

I was browsing through an urban outfitters catalog today and stumbled upon these;

Not sure if these are good quality or not but they actually come surprisingly close to matching the color and shape on those Lanvins.

Yeah, both of these are essentially suede "bucks." You can find ones made by Ralph Lauren on e-bay quite easily. Actually, there are a ton of generic looking ones on there by J. Crew right now. Just search "suede bucks." Something to consider if you aren't looking to spend much.

This is probably the closest, although I'll probably just end up grabbing a pair from the new Opening Ceremony collection. Quality isn't the greatest but I don't wear my shoes that hard and they seem like they can usually be had for about half the price of these, if not less.
