queen east (ie. riverdale, leslieville) has more vintage furniture (ie. eames, jacobson, flos etc...) then clothing. If your tight on time then I wouldn't waste the day there.

forgot, Lileo has a 50% off sale too. Its in the Distillery District.

while i shop all over TO- for jeans i go to over the rainbow first. they have good denim from LVC, edwin, earnest sewn and lots more. if i go to other places around there i find they aen't nearly as helpful. there at least i can shoot the shit with their guy staff about denim projects too.

you guys find that too??

for denim i'll always check out over the rainbow. they have a decent selection and staff that care. i can go in there, look at lvc, edwin and talk about good denim. i haven't found that at any other TO retailer. i know some of you TO guys must have found it the same. what do you guys say?

magic pony is definately a good one. and of course goodfoot, eventhough i've heard its been going downhill lately. in kensington try twice is nice and flashback. actually, just spend an afternoon and go into every store, then end up at shai's at the top of kensington for a coffee

Uhhhhhh... I think the only place you'll find 'von douche' is china town for <$10. Rainbow is the same price as holts/tnt/duewest/delphic, with a better selection. I was just saying the guys there are interesting. Just go in duing the day when its quieter - thats the best time anyway to visit any store.

OTR does sell Von D as far as I remember. Other than that I wouldn't say their selection is any different from what tonnes of other stores around the city carry, with the exception of LVC. Don't get me wrong, the guys at both Due West and OTR are my boys but their stuff is really more the mainstream stuff (Diesel, Energie, etc.). I would never put either of their selections in line with TNT's, Delphic's and especially Holts.

over the rainbow is horrible...simply horrible...years and years ago they had a strong denim game, but they've never been a Toronto powerhouse in my opinion...

tnt blu has the denim game on lock in Toronto...plain and simple...it's gonna continue doing huge things...with SG running the show now, expect to see some surprizes in the coming seasons...

holts is really good...delphic is still one of the best...Otis has been hurting, but stocking Silas will most def silence the critics out there...

gdft hasn't been weak...the whole sneaker game has been hurting lately, outside of the occassional quick strike, most general releases haven't been strong...they're still the best bet when it comes to new grips...

nomad is killin' it...when the rest of fall rolls in, cats are gonna be sliding through this place on the regular...once the rest of Wings&Horns comes in, Spruce, Acroynm, Noah, etc...it's gonna be over...oh...and you heard it first here, expect a really pleasant surprize maybe as early as fall/winter...don't sleep the Nomad/GDFT fam will have Toronto on lock....

SG from tnt blu... thats the black dude stephen right? ... yea he's mad cool. everytime i go in i spend like an hour taking to him about denims n shoes. (haha his obsession with SB's). but yea if yur going to TNT blu look for the black guy with his nose peirced. he'll help you out with anything you need. i find the rest of the staff there are weak though. The tall asian guy, last time i went in n asked for my size in nudies, he was just so confused n didnt know much about anything. the girls seem to have some alrite looks, havent gotten help really from em, mainly just stares icon_smile_wink.gif hahaha ... but yea thats just my $0.02
