Recommend me some good shoes for winter

Ok I'm originally from Seattle, but right now Im doing my studies in Canada.

Im not used to the calf-deep snow, so can anyone recomend me some winter shoes/boots

buy some UGG boots.

love the new dior boots with the heel, with a few caveats: one, I could never afford them, two, I doubt I could pull them off without looking like a fool (esp. in gold/silver).

anyone have suggestions for a similar boot/shoe priced a bit lower and possibly a bit less intense?

ha, i was gonna say UGG boots too, but I doubt guys wear UGG boots.

why not go to your local shoes store in Canada and ask the employees about whats the majority wears over there.

Been around stores, what most people wear for winter @ my college are lugz or some *insert hip-hop brand name* shoes for winter

I thinking of just heading to Aldo and getting a cheap pair to beat about in the snow

I wear Doc Martens, combat boots, or for the REALLY REALLY snowy days (when I know I'll be trudging through 2 feet of snow..) some ugly-ass snow boot things that I bought for $40. They look terrible, but they keep me warm and dry, so they get the job done.

on the other note, these shoes with a 1,5" (!) heel, also excist in a brown suede finish, I believe. Check out dior.com.

dress badly on purpose.
