CAROL CHRISTIAN POELL Black Coated Button Shirt

From Fall 02/03. The shirt is the base in which a rich textured black coating was applied on the exterior. Coating has a very fine fibrillous fuzzy, almost linty, constitution and texture to it. I believe this coating is meant to fade with time and wear.

As a consequence of the coating process, the shirt has a unique and subtle contrasting interplay of black and white throughout. See for instance the front placket, the cuffs (particularly when undone), the armpits (!) and the collar.

Other features include (pretty standard): 7-button front closure (including the one collar button), medium spread collars, single button cuffs, a left chest pocket,

and functional single gauntlet button on both sleeves.

Fabric blend is 40% nylon, 39% polyester, 21% cotton.

Which makes it slightly thicker and more durable than the

usual cotton shirt. Holds its shape incredibly well too.

Needless to say, the tailoring and overall construction are impeccable and top notch, as you'd expect from Herr Poell.

It has been worn less than 5 times. The shirt is still stiff.

Tag size 48 but could fit bigger, a 50 perhaps?
