what are your thoughts on the brand?

i tried 2 leather jackets by him yesterday and they fitted like a charm, and although i am no leather expert, the dying of the leather and it's quality looked and felt awesome.

I've never seen his stuff in real life, but the hooded down jacket from aw 07 is ridiculous. Unfortunately, its ridiculously priced so I will probably never own it.

good stuff - leathers similar to collection privee?... i tried to push this label before, nairb was selling a giorgio brato leather bomber forever and everyone ignored it.

i never owned a leather jacket , but i really am contemplating getting this one once it gets on sale. also, since the size that fitted me was a size 52 i don't think i will have much trouble getting it at 40% off later on. the model i liked the most fitted fucking slim though.

coldrice, i know you are an experienced guy on the leather clothes field, would you recomend giorgio brato to a leather noob? i don't wanna buy something whose construction is flimsy or not up to par to other stuff in the same price range, especially since even at 40% off i will still be paying around 450 euros for it.

never owned a brato - but i'm sure it'll be fine - i had a similar collection privee? jacket several years ago and it held up fine. brato is carried at l'eclaireur, archive, and some of the nicer stores. it's a softer leather so don't go hiking and motorcycling in it or anything.i don't treat my jackets special or anything.

it was this petrol color with an elastic waistline( but covered in leather) and with frayed elastic ribbed cotton wrists. it had a 2 way zip from top to bottom and a slightly long collar (the only thing non-leather on the jacket were the wrists).

i am fairly sure that it is the third jacket to the right on the mens collection on www.GiorgioBrato.it , just in a different and better color (site is in flash, can't link the photo)

They must carry some men's items; if not leather jackets than suede sometimes. My friend said she found moccasins and a studded jacket for her boyfriend there.

There are other offerings for women too. The website has had peep-toe heels for a while now.

I might pick up one of their leather shirts if they go on sale. They are fairly reasonably priced(by standards in Japan, that is) at around 100000yen retail, where some C-Diem and M.A+ go for about 270000~370000yen.

it was exactly like the first one but it didn't have a zipper on the collar and it was in a greenish color.

i ended up not buying the jacket anyway, i need to learn to save money lol.

anyways, people are sleeping hard on this brand, i saw the stuff from this season a few weeks ago and it's sick, specially the boots. amazingly comfortable and beautiful. i can't seem to find any photos of what i am talking about in the web though

Bump this up to the top as I just saw that LVR is carrying them now. I've been thinking about buying a leather jacket from them for a year or so now, but never got around to it yet. Their prices aren't super cheap, but they seem relatively reasonable in comparison to most stuff on LVR.

I tried on a Giorigo Brato jacket about 5 or 6 months ago at TheArchive and I'm still pissed at myself for not buying it.

I tired on some Julius, RO, Attachment jacket as well and while the GB wasn't quite as nice, I liked it more than the others. The dying and leather on the one I tried on seemed pretty solid.

As for myself, I tried on some of his pieces at a past private sale. Quality and fit were outstanding, too bad they didn't have the jacket I was after in my size.

Prices are a bit steep...but that that much if you compare it with similar brands and keep the high standards in mind.
