As far as food you cant get in sydney? Uhh I guess you dont want thai food or shitty pub food? There was big descussion on best jap food in melboure, but I'm sure there is pleanty of that in Sydney, I would just go to good mid range restaurants

I'm surprised that there is a lack of Incu type stores. If they or even ourspot opened a store in Melbourne it would be pretty successful I would imagine. There's a hole in the market for someone to exploit.

If you really want to eat at clown casino, I've heard that the new italian joint ('Amadio and Sons' or something...) is very good and not too expensive (like $25 for pasta).

Run by Maurice who was behind Cafe e Cucina in Chapel st back in the day (ie when it was good).

But yeah there's plenty of good japanese restaurants in town. Also for the best pizza in town go to Ladro, corner of gertrude and smith st in fitzroy. brilliant.

besides horoki and yu-u,shoya is bourke st is good, too..especially the sashimi,and the lunch set is not too pricey. movida in flinders is great for some tapas, but its always full for dinner

was at alice last weekend and only saw a couple friedrich grey pieces - a singlet and something else i cant remember.

they did have a nice selection of the beat poet range though, but thats about it for men.

just got back from a short trip to melbourne with my girlfriend. i hadn't been since i was a kid and i was really impressed with the atmosphere. stayed in flinders lane and spent the whole time shopping and eating. some great stores with some really friendly sales assistants around (the guys at marais and the claude maus store were awesome). the food was awesome too. definitely going to come back as soon as possible and hopefully stay for a lot longer.

copped a claude maus hooded leather bomber. a few people said that it's pretty common in melb but i really liked it so i couldn't help myself.

also i read the shit out of this thread before i got on the plane, so a big thanks to you guys for telling me where to go.

my girlfriend's luggage appears to have gone missing though, so a pretty big downer at the end of a really fun few days.

melbourne's PT is fairly suck but if you want to travel out to Fitzroy via tram you can catch the 86 tram from swanston st/bourke st and get off at getrude st., shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes. once you're there most of the shops of interest are within a couple of blocks of each other.

the 86 tram from collins st near swanston intersection will take you to smith st in fitzroy. everything is in walking distance from there.. get off at the top of Brunswick even..

melvin do you mind telling me what the leather is like on the new shoes? I'm not really sold on the grainy look of the leather in the photos, I was hoping that they would be the same soft leather they used last season and may have to cancel my order with pitbull....

I think the drop crotch look can work but only if you are rather tall, hence why I'll never be able to pull it off haha.

judging from those photos though it looks like they are made from the same leather as mono1's..

man im beginning to regret my order (cubism jeans) and am thinking to get the neo neo instead.. meh i guess ill just try them on later when im at the shop.
