I believe you, it's kind of weird that the music that inspires you on the mountain is usually some crazy stuff.

I was listening to depeche mode - enjoy the silence the other day. it was a nice soundtrack for the first couple of runs.

DJ Cosmo-Baker, DJ Shadow, Busta Rhymes, Fat Jon, RJD2, Babu, Z-Trip, mostly instrumentals.

I listen to drum & bass...

some instrumental stuff

ambient is great when the snow is falling........

HARDCORE when I'm feeling it.

I was hoping I would get more responses in here, but I guess there aren't many snowboarders lurking in superfuture.

This kind of statement needs an explanation!

Because its fucks like you that i plow into in the woods cause you can't hear me yelling "Get the hell out of my way"

unless your riding in a controlled park its selfish and unsafe.

on sunny and really cold days i like "harder" drum&bass...with mc'ing blabla

usually i ride with just one earplug because i want to hear whats going on

i dont like those embarassing HUGE sony things that a lot of pro's use at contests

Stop blaming people listening to music for the simple fact that you aren't in control of your own snowboard.

anyway BACK on topic...

I have an audex jacket and a pair of shure earplugs. not really down for anything gaudy.

i seem to like stuff songs from the latest snowboard videos.

usually im riding with a group of homies so we all talk and stoke eachother up its better to not listen to music

same here, 93 til infinity is a classic

im talking more when you're by yourself. I have times when i'm with a group of friends and we are just riding to one up each other or progress same thing happens when I'm alone sometimes but then other times i just wanna be alone and just enjoy the ride and listen to something that compliments the experiance

I've tried riding backcountry and slopes with headphones on and I've gotta say, I really miss the sound of the wind. Also, I feel fairly unsafe when I'm not able to hear stuff in backcountry, especially the sound of a 4 x 4 foot slab of slough while riding through tight trees on a 71.

Riding with music is cool if you are by yourself. Riding with friends is better.

definitely agree with this one

but when riding by myself, i like eazy-e, especially "real muthaphukkin g's" and 300 bars n running by the game. and zeppelin and pink floyd

Listening to music while snowboarding is wrong.

Fuk that, if it wasn't for music I don't think I would enjoy riding as much as I do, slap on my phones and just cruise, plus the music usually amps me up even more.

Riding with music is cool if you are by yourself. Riding with friends is better.

you need to dust your shit off my friend you don't even ride anymore.:( and even with my friends I still wear my music, I just keep the vol down so I can hear them and the music.

i listen to whatever is in my player. however, the last time i was up i was bombing down with some jedi mind tricks and it seemed right. same could be said with loving spoonfuls when there is just enough powder and slush.

Hisato Higuchi.......

Glassworks

Brian Blade fellowship....

Last time I was a out- weeks ago- all I listened to was some Joshua Redman Quartet- Moodswing and some Keith Jarret trio

I used to listen to like Cocteau Twins, MBV, Brief Candels and stuff, but that became too distracting.

Then I started listing to like dan bell and stuff, but that became stupid.

Then like Goldie and Electrosoul System- and this works, buty7u8oipkl[

Now I just ride with jazz and avantgardeeeeeeeeeeeeee perfect fit.

I haven't been listening to a lot of tunes this season because I lost my headphones

BUT, when I do rock some tunes, I usually go with some of my favorite hip-hop joints to pump me up

(J Dilla, Madlib, MF DOOM, etc.)
