ECKO BLOCK PARTY...did anyone go?

Ecko threw a block party in Chelsea, NY on Wednesday.

It made some press. I walked through and didn't see anything that made me go

"WOW, I am so fucking glad I walked all the way here to see that!"

bunch of kids in spray masks as an accessory.

there was some cool breakdancing without cardboard.

basically alot of white kids with black sketch books trying to fit in.

PS: why are "urban-wear" tee shirts so fucking long?

Can I ask you something? These sunglasses: they're really nice. Are they like government issue, or do you guys all go to the same store together?

there were old school graf writers there and the mock-subway cars were cool.

but the vibe was a bit contrived.

like the urban version of hanging at an anonymous hipster lounge bar listening to a shitty band because no one's ever heard of them and thinking you're cool....but inviting the press.

I wasn't feeling it.

then again, I went at 1-2 pm, so maybe it picked up later on.
