i had dreadlocks untill i was about 6. its basically one big knot.

mine were back combed then palm rolled. my aint did them for me when i was really little. i never used wax so mine looked like fabric.

You can wax/backcomb/palmroll for instant dreadlocks but the serious shit is when you let them grow wild and dont fuck with anything.
