I havent been following up on clashing but Mighty Crown is good nonetheless. For mix cds, I've always been a fan of Black Chiney. Too bad they dont clash anymore, I though they were pretty good. Tony Matterhorn is decent at clashing but I like bass oddesey alot.

but i've been around the musical block a few times, and this is some shit I truly do not understand- dj clashes.

Their accent during the clashes (?) is so thick it's a different language (is it now?).

Obviously, if you don't live in the caribbean it's impossible to understand.

Some white kid I went to school with use to trick himself into liking really obscure dancehall and dub, whatever.

reggae is great music, in all forms (except reggaeton ).

i would agree that most people are in it for the culture--which maybe impossible to separate from the music. still, as a music, i have nothing but respect and love for reggae.

bass odyssey was really good, but they weren't consistent, which caused their downfall this year. they could have won the whole thing, but got lazy at the end and mighty crown took advantage.
