I'm personally holding out until the redesign of the Macbook (eventually) but the iMac is so sexy. My family bought the first, first iMac to come out way back when Apple started making computers in colors other than beige.

personally i prefer mac over pc...i have been using pc since 95' and i loved the little rodent cheese game...but after three BSD within 6 months i kicked my pc to the curb and got the imac g4 dome w/movable flat screen. 20"

still works beautifully

never lost a paper i was working on because all of a sudden the computer froze or crashed.

I love my MacBook. Everything is so sleek and nicely presented. Widgets are pretty cool, as well as iChat, of course.

It actually came with my first computer that had window 95...

The os was basically set up to look like a house and the rooms seperate different applications...that rodent game came with it. Haven't seen a game like it since my dad dumped that computer for windows 98, 2000...and so on.

so I don't know where to find it...anyone who knows would get my undying gratitude...or rep...or something

mac is probably all that you'll ever need of a laptop and a desktop, but my advice is to get both OS. like desktop which is of Windows and a laptop of Mac OS or vice versa. one way or another, the mac pretty much kills the windows.

Ok, so I'm pretty set on buying an imac when I get a new job, I really like the presentation of leopard and the hardware itself. Right-clicking is the only thing I will miss that I see right now.

Now I understand there's lots of pros and cons for each but most important for me are

- Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Dreamweaver

- iTunes

- watching DVDs/movies

- instant messaging

- stupid widgets

As far as I know these are all just fine if not better on a mac, right? I don't ever plan on playing computer games. Are there any limitations I'll run into with a mac?

Sounds like OSX is what you'd want. Vista isn't so great. If you get a desktop, then you can plug in any multibutton mouse via USB and it'll likely work. If you get a notebook, same thing. But sans attached mouse, on notebooks you can CTRL-click or (I believe in the current iterations) you can two finger tap the the trackpad (keep one finger down, tap the second or something) to bring up right click menu. FWIW (and I don't think it's a big deal), but I don't think the current PS (CS3) is perfect for leopard. I mean it runs great, but Adobe made a big deal about Apple not getting a master to Adobe quick enough to test, etc., etc., etc. Here's a link with better info.

either. vista running on my new hp laptop is really nice looking, super functional,

and speedy. havent had a problem installing all the programs i use regularly, and

im doing just fanfuckingtastic.

Yeah I have Vista on my laptop and I have no reason to cry about it. But, the imac is pretty and so is leopard.
