how to clean shoes?

hey guys,

i'm asking myself how i should clean my white leather hi-tops. usually i use a wet towel (soft) and just clean it. is that ok? or should i use a special spray?

just use a bit of warm water with a small amt of dish detergent (just make sure theres no bleach but there shouldn't be) and a cloth. Works well on leather, but if you can get away with just water try it 1st.

this is how i've always done it, sometimes using an old toothbrush if they needed a little bit of a scrub.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is really good, but you have to be gentle cause it's pretty strong and can tear up your shits.

Water + soap or toothpaste applied by cloth or soft toothbrush (for leather). Bleach pen or magic eraser (more for midsoles). For suede use a brush or eraser.

i usually use white toothpaste( no green or fancy colored ones as it tends to leave a mark) on the rubber soles, and for the leather part, i use leather cleaner.

usually with my black hightops i use an applicator brush to apply shoe cream, then let it sit for 5 minutes, then use a polishing brush, then a quick wipe with the terry cloth. and then spray on some water-proof spray.

ok, as long is i can get the dirt away with just water or spit i won't use any detergents. i will try toothpaste too. thank you for your answers.

I use the can of footlocker stuff that came with a pair of sneakers way back. Works pretty well, seems to condition the leather as well as clean it.
