Levis 551 ZXX Original or LVC??

I acquired these about a week ago and am trying to establish their origin. Any comments would be appreciated...........

Would need to see tags to make certain, but I'm sure these are original. The rivets alone look very different from LVC. From a quick look I'd say they're early to mid 60s.

Nice jeans, too, in a decent size as long as you have short legs...

Edit: didn't notice the offset belt loop and the stitching color until I looked at the auction, that would make me think they're earlier; definitely post 55, so maybe late 50s. Incidentally, if you're a dealer looking to authenticate your items, i think it's more polite to make that clear.

Thanks Paul for the quick response! There are no tags on the inside of these jeans at all. I searched the inner seams very carefully for any tag remnants and it doesn't appear that there were any that were removed.

Incidentally, they are for sale. They will be posted in a couple of days on eBay. If anyone wants to make a fair offer before they list, feel free. If not, I will post a link. Thanks again!

Hey, I´ve got the valencia street LVC repro of these and there are some differences...

Always a great indicator for original vintage jeans are the zippers, LVC zippers of the 555 valencia repros are plain, nothing is stamped into it, later LVC zippers are from scovill(which were used aswell as talon), but never LVC used Talon zippers, so your jeans are original 1960s as Paul T said. If you have a talon zipper, you have an original vintage jean.
