I suppose quality is obviously a big factor as well, but I almost didn't feel it's worth mentioning it. Most of the brands I've gotten are based off of information from SuFu, so no matter which random Japanese repro 'inspired' or whatnot jean I get next, I honestly just assume straight out that I'm gettin an awesomely made jean regardless. Even if I ventured into something like ALD or Imperial, that same 'top quality' cachet seems to apply. So yeah, that's a big factor, but it's one that just seems implied around here for the most part.
