hyvent is a jacket model for the north face. it is also waterproof.

your right, hyvent is a material they use. hes probably looking for a venture or a resolve north face jacket.

Just a random suggestion, but Hyvent isn't the best option for a waterproof barrier. It doesn't breath very well and gets pretty awful reviews. If you can get a jacket that uses it for at a great deal, then go for it...but if you have the option, I would go for Goretex (or eVent if you're lucky).

I have a hyvent northface venture, took it to europe in the winter (with layers of course) and it is a great value compared to a goretex.
