So Highstreet's reminded me that I said I'd post this but really he should be the one telling you : Shop/odyssey The Pineal Eye on Broadwick street in London is gone. We went past what was once London's bastion of avant gard weirdness last weekend and the space is empty with a sign in the window advertising the space to rent:

He heard from one of their staff that they decided they wanted to concentrate

more on online sales and model agency stuff, but it's no big secret that they were

pretty crap at actually selling anything and probably couldn't pay the rents any

longer.

they definitely had a confused image. House of Holland mixed in with harajuku-esque eyesores. GREAT retail space though. I always thought the employees were on shrooms.

What happens when you have staff who think they're the shit and above it all as well as relying on Cassette Playa to keep you afloat.

the staff really arent that bad anyway, ken is just a number 1 stunna and is allowed. simons a nice guy too..

To be honest I found the shop fairly disappointing.

To be honest I found the shop fairly disappointing.

There were about 10 garments top in the shop and like 6 japanese dudes hanging around, sort of cool and laid back shop but not much to buy. Some guy was wearing a long jacket (like an overlong suit jacket) when I was there and I really liked the look. Same season CdG made some cool ones with different fabric/prints on the back.

Haven't heard much about this store before .. what other stuff besides clothing did they try to sell out of it?

At least they will be resurrected in the internet after life.
