i had a question for you guys, being as I have never had canvas shoes before (shocking!) I am going to pick up some all white slip ons to go with my slim jeans

i was wondering what you thought were better:

some

Converse

Skid Grip® Slip-On

or

Vans

Classic Slip-Onâ„¢ Core Classics

in general which would you say is more comfortable/durable/lightweight ,etc?

or if you have any other recommendations (sorry for the retarded q btw)

i need some not too flashy slip ons for work.... but i dont like the purcells

or regular cons in general.

plus a sizing Q

do they stretch much?

i am between 11 and 11.5 in the converse ones but the 11.5 are alittle big in the back... hmm

just get regular chuck low tops in white or classic navy if you wear alot of polos or dress shirts loosely. look good with no socks, yet still classy. vans sometimes come off "juvenille" to some people. especially slip ons. laces always win in the office.

laces = more work :)

Do what jmatsu said, get both. There's a little bit of a difference I've noticed with mine. My Vans (black with white soles with some blue detailing) have had two years of beating and while they're near-death (worn almost completely through the heel), they still are comfy as hell and still feel like they would live longer. Con slip-ons (black pinstripe) are a lot newer, but for whatever reason I don't think they'll wear as long. They also have a different shape if they're both the same size; the Cons seem a bit more feminine to my eyes.
