the waist doesn't mean they're all the same size. they're probably different in other areas. you should probably go with a 1 or 2. since you're a 30 right?

how do they look bunched up on the bottom? like scrunched all up on your calves and all. do the thighs get ridiculous?

also, how thick is the material on them? like girly AA thin fleece type stuff or more russel atheletic college pullover type thick (if you can see what im saying on either of those examples)
