unsold lv, bape, etc?

i had a friend who worked in the marketing department at LVMH in Paris and we talked about this a few time. some items (accessories, bag, etc) will either be sold at insider/employee sales or will be passed to retailers (department stores, etc). for the more seasonnal and special items (prêt-à-porter, etc), it'll be sold at insider sales (both outsiders like good clients, stylist etc and to employees). then if some pieces have not been bought, they will destroy them, but apparently, it doesn't happen very often as the final sales are very good. i never manage to score an invite btw...
