Nintendo 64 Controller project: colorway ideas wanted!

I recently bought new joysticks to replace the loose ones on my N64 controllers and as i was taking apart my controller, I realized I should also replace the ugly color too. I plan on painting them a new, unique color. The controller consists of a top and bottom half, plus all the buttons.

Now I just need some ideas for colorways. I wanna keep it simple for the first one, so I think i will make it all white with black buttons. I can get more creative by using different colors for the top and bottom and maybe even taping off designs and patterns, but since I've never done it before, ill keep my first attempt simple. I was thinking about doing some based on recognizable sneaker colorways like tiffany dunks or the supreme vans. anyone have any ideas?

also, anyone know what spray paint I should get that would adhere to the plastic and be able to take the abuse of a N64 controller? thanks :D

yes they do, and that shit is awesome doesn't crack chip or peel. I sprayed my snowboard binding backs and they lasted a whole season with minimal scratches, stuff is amazing a bit pricey and the colors are kinda lacking but great quality. FUSION i believe its called.

you should mask off the outside and paint the inside that way you dont have to worry about it chipping.

and youll have a nice transluscent effect.

better yet if you want to take it to the next level just make a mold of the top and bottom and make your own pieces in watever color you want.

boom.

i decided to make it white, but i didnt paint the buttons. i used krylon spray paint, but not the Fusion one thats specifically for plastic. after the paint, I added a coat of matte finish. i hope it doesnt wear off or get on my hands after usage :P
