Asians handing out the 666 fliers

What the heck is up with that? Before anyone calls me out as racist or anything, I've been getting these fliers on the street since high school (early 90s) and they're always being given out by random normal-looking asian people. Does anyone know who's producing them or why!?

i think its hazing for some engineering society...that or its her part time job along with helping people take pics in time square...you know...because she's asian....and we to take photographs and stuff.........ummm...yeah..........

this might be somewhat related (or unrelated), but there's a village in northern japan where they believe is a cave where jesus reappeared. then he disappeared again but he's going to come back there when he "returns." something like that.
