I was looking around luisaviaroma.com and I noticed a few really nice pieces were way underpriced. I did the currency change from their price in euros into dollars and some of the items are down almost 60 dollars from retail. Anyone know anything about this?

Also, is luisaviaroma a good place to purchase from?

You will have to pay an import tax, even in the USA. I bought a pair of Dior denim a while back and it was like $70.00 fee from FedEx.

Well they are having a sale right now....

When ordering, you take away roughly 20% VAT but then they charge a hefty 50Euro shipping fee to get it to the states. (pretty much negates the 20%)

They are legit though.

Yeah, I saw for the S/S 07 items there was a sale, but even on the non-sale items they had those ridiculous price drops from the retail ones. But i guess since it costs me about 60something in shipping, it negates the drop

Well you also have to take into consideration that LVR doesn't have to include the same import taxes retail stores in the US do, because a lot of those companies are based in Europe. So some of the pricing for say, Ann D. and Rick Owens might show to be cheaper than here but you're right, after the shipping cost, it ends up being about the same.

Anyone in Australia have any experience ordering from Luisviaroma? Delivery time, any unexpected costs besides the 50 euro shipping?

50 euro shipping is a pain...
