www.thedenimbar.net has them in the Cure fit. The Cure(not to be confused with new cure) is a pretty good fit. It's no where near as tight as the new cure. It's not like how the new standard is just lower rise than the standard, it's a different cut. The Cures are pretty similar to the new standards like if the NS didn't stretch out to be too baggy. A good cut.

You can call them and ask about what the waist size is and everything. You talk to them to see if sizing down only 1 or getting your true size would give you the desired look. I think that would work for what you're going for.

True but I also like the selvage aspect of the NS as opposed to the Cure.
