Went to a Burlesque show last Friday night, organized by my lady friend. It wasn't really kosher to take pictures of the women performing, but i did get a few shots.

PC110044.jpg

This place was the former (101 year old!) firehouse for the main area of Richmond.

PC110047.jpg

Shockingly, I was drinking coffee and smoking before the performance. Had to go to Staryucks as my coffee spots were closed for the evening.

PC110046.jpg

PC110057.jpg

The host and her lovely assistant getting ready to hand out raffle prizes, which included pasties and various other awesome things.

PC110049.jpg

The guy seated is one of my oldest and closest friends. We've known each other roughly 19 years. Our punk bands had played our first shows together back when we were in high school. We ended up working together @ a local tv station for about 5 years.

PC110050.jpg

It was a few years ago that i turned him onto sufu (he's strictly a lurker afaik) and the excellence of denim. Got him a pair of LVC 1947's which he's had for a bit over a year and is rocking in these pictures. I'd say he's doing good. OCBD, raw denim and soon to have a pair of Clarks DB.

PC110053.jpg

He was brought up on stage and taught how to "shake his moneymaker".

PC110054.jpg

Shaking what his mother has given him (sick burlesque fadezzz bro).

PC110060.jpg

Poorly taken & lit picture of 2 good friends in denim and peacoats.

Needless to say, many tuchases and nay-nays were seen. They had a live 7 piece jazz band with a vocalist, it was a very nice touch. There was also a sub-par magician and two very nervous guys doing and old style 2 man vaudeville comedy routine. Pasty tassels swung, butt cheeks were shaken, and good times were had by all.

I ended the evening with my glaucoma medicine and my lady friend.

Last Saturday was a delicious day full of things and stuff

PC120075.jpg

(eg,flatheads,nike freeee)

I drank coffee, and smoked, and thought about things. Dog walking things, food things, other things as well. This is evidenced by my gazing into the future, thinking of my day ahead.

PC120076.jpg

the jeans, my lady friend and i went to a diner.

PC120077.jpg

I had some more coffee.

PC120078.jpg

Also, a chicken fried steak, egg, bacon and cheese sandwich with some hashed browns. It was delicious.

Then, it was Chanukah time at my mom's house.

PC120082.jpg

A poorly lit and out of focus time, but a time nonetheless.

PC120084.jpg

My mom's dog, Penny "The Mini-Pit Possum Killer" was there. She was chillin, also beggin for....

PC120080.jpg

Latkes, potato latkes. Many of them were consumed by my family.

PC120081.jpg

Also, borscht.

*insert foghorn noise here*

PC120085.jpg

Later, i cold lamped and played dreidel, for even a grown man must get that gelt. Much gelt was gotten. I ate it and it was good.

Later, i went home and took more of my glaucoma medicine and watched UFC. It was good. BJ Penn did this to some dude:

2me70o.gif

The fights were dope. Then i went to bed.

Working on it man.

Trying to post the pics somewhat in order. May end up posting a couple of updates today being that i'm pretty much still snowed in here.

So the piece of twine that Beats installed to keep the zipper up broke the other day. I replaced it with a piece of an elastic hair tie.

PC190011.jpg

Should hold up for many more legs of the tour. The journal's running out of pages though. If these bad boys keep going around we may have to add a 2nd volume!

Later that day, i got a trip to take a guy from RVA to Dulles Airport. Good fare and the guy tipped well. Of course i got stuck in traffic on the way back south.

Then i was all like "oh hell no!?! word?!?"

PC180033.jpg

And this was happening...

PC180031.jpg

PC180032.jpg

Mother nature expelled her cold, white, fluffy discharge all over the damn place!

PC180034.jpg

I promptly got my denim clad butt home, ordered Chinese food, and took my glaucoma meds.

great updates lendo...damn, how long was that drive to Dulles?

Roughly 2 hours there, 3 3/4 back. The traffic was something i could deal with, snow hit about 45min-1hr outside of Richmond. I took it slow & easy from then on to give all the idiots on the road some space.

The meter was at about $300 when i dropped the guy off @ Dulles.

PC190013.jpg

After the walk i stopped by the corner market for some snow-time essentials.

PC190012.jpg
