i'm guilty of making some slimey public commentary toward female members, but i've never ever pmmed one. infact i've only actually met up with 3 actual members (2 male, one female).

let's say a member is a jew. no one makes fun of that jewish member, but constantly barrage the boards with jew jokes and the objectificaion of jews. would this be okay since that particular jewish member wasn't specifically targetted?

first of all, the threads objectifying women don't make fun of women...they lust after them. what exactly does 'objectification of jews' mean??? is that a thread that lusts after jewish boobs and ass? i actually suspect that would be ok, except it would almost certainly be satirical. so your analogy is flawed, because jew jokes are not equivalent to posting porn objectifying women.

second, rules made for protecting women are not generically applicable to any and all other groups. jews are a sensitive and extra protected group, for historical reasons. for the same reason, a hate thread against blacks would also be locked down damn fast. a hate thread against whites probably would be seen as comical. is this a double standard? of course it is....but for sensible reasons and good cause. although i suspect if jmatsu were living in germany he'd be screaming 'double standard' because he couldn't wear a swastika on his arm.

taking it even further, the rules for dealing with these groups don't apply to yet other groups. for example, fat people receive no protection whatsoever. general hate against fattys has been tolerated, as well as hate against specific fat members. the reason for that is because no one really cares if fatsos quit the board. this is yet another double standard, but so what? you're complaining that people are trying to preserve the few women on the board by treating them differently....which is exactly the way it should be, because most members want to have as many women here as possible. if you feel differently and really want to drive off females, maybe a site that is already exclusively male would be better suited for you. i don't know from personal experience, but i imagine NAMBLA .com would fill the bill. you can disagree with this policy, but to claim you don't 'understand' it as in your OP is just plain dense.

funny how you keep dangling the carrot of this miss sufu 2007 title as something desirable and therefore a justification for the thread. why would someone want to win this? are they going to put it on their CV? brag to their friends how they were judged hottest on an internet fashion board? and even granting that some females could possibly want to win this title (which i doubt, based on insomniac's post), does the dubious distinction of miss sufu for one 'lucky' (10) soul outweigh the irritation and denigration of all of the others who didn't win, or weren't nominated, and were personally criticized and found wanting in the process? if you really think this is a great idea, why not do like legitimate pageants do and have a voluntary sign up to compete? then you'll see how coveted your title really is.

next time you happen to stumble upon one of my comments or threads why not shoot a load and clam down before making a total ass of yourself. this thread wasn't produced to promote insults or flamewars. thanks alot you fucking maggot.

the jew example is maybe a tad far-fetched, but you def get the point i was trying to make (admit it or not). jewish people can be objectifed and stereotyped. obviously not every jew is limited to curly sideburns, a big beards, and a little hat. and yes, there are people who lust after jews. just because one would objectify a woman doesn't mean tht he would specifically lust after her.

you are acutally helping my argument. you talk about fat people and different types of people and the degrees to which they are protected ( or their subject matter based threads are moderated). why the big distinction and classification of desirable members and nondesirable? i know things will never be totally equal, but is this senitment not a noble one? seriously i wouldn't even care if there were more or less women. as long as members have something interesting/informative/entertaining to say, why should their genders be a big issue and be moderated differently upon???
