Anyone else into Express Men?

Recommended Posts

I couldn't really differentiate Express from a Target. I browse the store about once a year when my girlfriend is looking at the womens side and every time I find it terrible, they make extremely generic items which don't either feel, look or fit nice.

as Flame mentioned, for cheaper basics I'd go to H&M or Uniqlo, or AA for t-shirts and such.

I dont own much express (one polo? maybe a sweater) but how can AA be sufu approved and express be shite-quality? they are at least the same quality...

I think AA's basic stuff is decent quality, I havent had any problems with their t-shirts for example. and they have a a good slim and tall fit. I'm sure express is good for basics, like tees, I couldn't say about the fit though. most of their other stuff has a pretty boring and cheap looking vibe to them.

Express for men is everything that is wrong with men's fashion. All I think of is Jersey meathead Express striped shirt wearing wannabe mafioso with ill fitting blazers.

Of course, that's just my opinion. Whatever you're into.

The fit is like night and day. Express tends to be like wearing a flag with armholes.

not particularly into their designs, but quality-wise, i'd put them over h&m which everyone seems to fawn over. both offer decent looking pieces that will last a month for a reasonable price.

do you guys wear the same articles of clothing every single day or something? how on earth would clothing only last 1 month for you, thats ridiculous. i still have express tees from like 2 years ago that are in great condition

why would you assume that Juelz got paid to appear in Uniqlo Paper?

Does Young Jeezy get paid to appear in XXL?

I think the promotional benefit aspect of appearing on uniqlo paper isn't as clear cut as appearing on XXL. I don't think uniqlo as a company wouldn't mind giving Juelz some money because they can afford it, and besides I'd think Juelz would ask for money anyway (for his sake I hope he does).

I usually buy job interview clothes there when shit's on sale. $20 for their button-ups is a pretty good deal and their Producer pants fit better than anything else I can find at the mall (no H&M here). For clothes I'm only going to wear every once in a while, I'm not going to drop a bunch of cash at Saks or something for quality shit.

Those of you who are complaining about fit aren't really complaining about quality. That would be like me saying Dior is garbage because everything is too slim for me. I'm a bigger guy (waist 33, chest ~40) and Express fits me pretty well imo, even according to SuFu standards. I'm not going to defend Express from a materials standpoint because most of their stuff feels like junk after a wash nor will I defend their designs because anything there that I like seems to be there by luck. Construction-wise I think they're fine for their price range--you're not paying $100 dollars or more for a shirt, what do you expect?
